FAMILIES CARING FOR FAMILIES
1915 (b)(c) Waiver Expansion: DHHS is expanding the 1915 (b)(c) waiver statewide. ECBH LME has been approved to implement the waiver effective April 1, 2012 as a Managed Care Organization (MCO). The waiver provides the state, through the Local Management Entities (LME), the authority to enroll individuals into a state and federally approved managed care program for the management and delivery of mental health, developmental disability and substance abuse services. This type of managed care is specifically designed to meet the needs of these populations and is different from managed care models used for primary health care. Information can be found on ECBH’s website www.ecbhlme.org under Medicaid Waiver.
